Australia
Cultural Au Pair Association of Australia - CAPAA
The Cultural Au Pair Association of Australia (CAPAA) was formed in 2012 to further the benefits of au pair cultural exchange in Australia. The agency-based association is active in setting standards for the Australian industry and promoting the au pair experience as a rewarding childcare option and cultural experience for their family.
CAPAA members are located throughout Australia. Each member is required to adhere to the Assocation’s strict standards. By choosing a CAPAA member, a family may feel reassured that they will be working with an agency who has agreed to deliver a programme that will meet the CAPAA standards.

China
Chinese Au Pair Association - CAPA
The China Au Pair Association (CAPA) was founded early 2011 by existing Chinese IAPA member agencies. It is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation and its goal is to increase awareness of the au pair programme in China and to follow international practice to establish guidelines for the Chinese au pair industry.
In order to increase the regularity and professionalism of working practices at CAPA, all the members will follow IAPA’s Code of Conduct, which signifies competence, fair dealing and high integrity, and will protect the au pairs’ and the host families’ rights.
Moreover CAPA has implemented specific and additional criteria according to local standards, therefore CAPA members act according to transparent high standards and make a difference in the local Chinese au pair market. All CAPA members are strictly selected and the general election is held every two years.
Colombia
Asociación Colombiana de Agencias de Au Pair - ASCAAP
Asociación Colombiana de Agencias de Au Pair (ASCAAP) was created in 2009 with the guidance of the IAPA Executive Board. The motivation of the association is to regularise and protect the outbound market in Colombia and to improve the quality of our agencies and applicants worldwide.
France
Union Francaise des Agences Au Pair - UFAAP
The Union Francaise des Agences Au Pair (UFAAP) was established in 2000. UFAAP has 14 members and is the only official union in France specialised in au pair placements both inbound and outbound.
UFAAP member agencies are renowned for their reliability, seriousness, quality of selected families, suitable students and screening of both parties. The goal is to set quality standards, rules and regulations in the au pair placements. UFAAP is in continuous conversation with French government officials to get a national agreement that would make au pair placements officially recognised as a cultural exchange.

Germany
Au-Pair Society e.V.
The Au-Pair Society e.V is a non-profit national organisation founded in 2000. Au-Pair Society member agencies (nearing 50) abide to high-quality standards that have been revised according to ECAPS guidelines and are applicable for both inbound and outbound placements.
The Society gives advice, supports networking among members and provides a lobbying body to improve, support and protect this cultural exchange programme. The Au-Pair Society e.V. is an acknowledged association, accredited by the German Bundestag.

Gütegemeinschaft Au pair e. V
The Gütegemeinschaft Au pair is a German based association that promotes quality of au pair stays in Germany. Member agencies must adhere to a set of quality standards defined by the association and are regularly inspected by independent auditors. Compliance with the defined rules and guidelines is indicated by the RAL Au pair quality mark (RAL Gütezeichen Au pair). It guarantees customers that the agencies provide transparent and guaranteed quality conditions for the selection, preparation, placement and support of au pairs and host families.

Italy
Associazione Nazionale Italiana Alla Pari - ANIAP
ANIAP, the Italian National Au Pair Agencies Association, was founded in November 2013 to establish quality as a common standard across au pair cultural exchange programmes in Italy, aligning with both European and international standards to make the au pair experience an increasingly safe opportunity for young people and host families alike. ANIAP's founding was strongly supported by IAPA.
ANIAP's goal is to help young people move and gain experience globally, while supporting families who wish to host a young person from abroad, particularly at a time when the pace of digitalisation and the pursuit of lower costs can too often push safety considerations into the background.
Mexico
Associación Mexicana de Agencias Au Pair
AMAAP (Associación Mexicana de Agencias Au Pair) founded in 2022, is a non-profit association founded by highly experienced and well-established au pair agencies to support young people who want to have an international cultural experience by participating in an au pair programme.
The objective of the association is to provide trustworthy and truthful information about their Mexican member agencies and the au pair programme in general, in order to support au pairs before and during their stay in a foreign country.

Spain
Asociación Española del Programa Aupair - AEPA
The Asociación Española del Programa Aupair (AEPA) is a not-for-profit organisation promoting quality and professionalism among Spanish au pair agencies, while defending the interests of families and au pairs.
AEPA works to ensure the au pair programme in Spain follows recognised standards and strong professional practice, always approached as an intercultural exchange — with reliability and trust at its core.
All AEPA members are properly registered and must have been active in the sector for a period of time before joining, ensuring they are experienced, follow shared principles, and uphold high standards of conduct - representing quality, competence, integrity, and ethics.
