22nd Annual General Meeting- Read our report

The 22nd International Au Pair Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held during WETM-IAC 2016 on Sunday, 20 March 2016 from 10:40-13:00 at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown, Atlanta, USA. During the AGM we presented an overview of our activities over 2015 and our outlook for 2016, provided information on the IAPA finances, ratified new members and elected two board members. The most important topic however was the presentation of two different options deciding on IAPA´s future within WYSE Travel Confederation or self managed. After Great Britain has voted in favour of leaving the EU many are in shock and try to foresee scenarios of the future after BREXIT.  Also Au Pair agencies,  Au Pair applicants to the UK as well as host families are insecure about the effects on the British Au Pair programme. We are happy to announce that the IAPA AuPairsOnly app is now available for IAPA members to distribute to their au pairs! The app is the first global app where au pairs can find each other, chat and meet in a secured environment. The app is only available for au pairs who were placed through an IAPA member agency. Welcome Spanish Au Pair as our newest member

We are happy to welcome Spanish Au Pair as the newest IAPA Affiliate member. Spanish Au Pair is an agency in Ireland that specialises in Spanish Au Pairs. The agency was started in early 2013. Their au pairs are well paid (pocket money ranges between €150- €200 per week). All families are met face-to-face and all living conditions are checked.
